Slowly but surely

After my car accident I have managed to do all my rehab and get somewhere near to full fitness. Its took a while I am getting there! Ive worked hard in training and thankfully got my reward scoring alast minute winner against Cardiff. I also scored a hat-trick in the county cup. Quite of our games have fallen victim to the cold weather but fingers crossed we can get our county cup game played sunday!

Frustrating Few Weeks!

After having a good pre-season and start to the season i was unfortunately involved in a minor car accident. Nothing too serious thankfully! Although, I have come away with a bad case of whiplash which has meant that I cant train or play. So frustrated and even more so becasue it wasnt my fault! I have been doing my rehab sessions, seeing doctors and physio so fingers crossed I will be back playing soon!

Coventry vs Charlton FAWPL

Finally the first FA Womens Premier League fixtures took place on Sunday and we faced Charlton at home. Everyone including myself was so excited for the game and thankfully we chanelled that energy in to a winning performance with the final score 2-0

I was luckily enough to get both goals thankx for great work from my team mates! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHjmJ5LX0hA&feature=plcp heres a quick video of my chances throughout the game.

The camp is buzzing and ready for another week of training before Sunday when we travel to Leeds for our second league fixture. Hopefully another win on the cards

Ready for the Season!

We played out our last pre-season game against WSL side Birmingham but unfortunately lost 3-1 although, we put in another good performance. We took the lead in the first half and I was lukcy enough to get myself on the score sheet. They equalised later in the game but we held them to 1-1 with 14mins left. Unfortunately we couldnt hold them longer and conceeded 2 late goals.

Our pre-season campaign has been positive and everyone is excited and ready for the start of the season at home to Charlton on Sunday! Hope we can start the season with a win!

CCLFC v Bristol Academy

For our penultimate pre-season friendly we hosted Super League (WSL) side Bristol Academy. We put in a a brilliant performance and were unlucky to come away with a loss as Bristol scored in the last minute to make it 3-2. I got on the scoresheet again scoring both of our goals. I was very happy personally with my performance and again I cannot reiterated what a great team performance we put in again a WSL side! Our last friendly before the season starts is against Birmingham, another WSL side. Cant wait!

First Pre-Season Friendly

First friendly back and we started with a 3-1 one win against Sheffield. I managed to get the first goal and set up the second so I happy with my contribution. Most importantly though was a good team performance that we can build on.

The Dreaded Pre-Season

We have now started back at pre-season and it is great to be back with all the girls, staff and most importantly I have a football at my feet! We have been doing lots fitness testing, strength & condition and pre-habilitation work to get us in the best possible shape for the season. Already feeling sharp! First friendly in a couple of weeks so we will see if the hard work has paid off!

Great season

My football season is now finished and I've had a really enjoyable season. We finished 6th in the league which is a great achievement for a newly promoted team. We also won the County Cup against local rivals Aston Villa where I scored the winning goal which was very pleasing and a great end to the season.

I have been using the South Charnwood gym that I get free for being a GO GOLD Athlete. This will also really help me through my preason which I start in a few weeks. Can't wait to get a football at my feet again!
