Girls Golf Rocks is being launched across Leicestershire and free sessions will be provided at the end of April.
The launch of Girls Golf Rocks is another big step to make golf more accessible to all and to break down the gender division that was formerly there.
England Golf are in the midst of a huge push on women's golf and numbers continue to increase across Britain as men and women take part on courses together, sharing the fun.
Free sessions will be provided across Leicestershire, with four golf clubs opening their doors to girls looking to try out a new sport. The sessions will run at:
- Lutterworth Golf Club - 22nd April
- Hinckley Golf Club - 23rd April
- Scraptoft Golf Club - 29th April
- The Golf Centre, Coalville - 30th April
Sessions will be completely informal and will provide a first opportunity for females to have a go without fear of intimidation or simply not being good enough. Comfy clothes are encouraged, so there's no need to go out and buy a visor or pair of tartan trousers. Food will also be available on site afterwards, with a friendly atmosphere helping to make the experience special.
