Judo Club Launched in Melton

Vale Judo Club, one of the largest judo clubs located in the East Midlands and the only club in the region with a Sport England Gold club mark award, is going to be running classes in Waterfield Leisure Centre. The Club will open its doors to juniors on Friday 7th June 2013 (4-6pm) and will initially be offering classes for children (boys and girls) aged 7-10 and 11-16 years. All classes will suit youngsters starting the sport and are focussed on helping individuals build confidence, get fit and make friends.

Last year £1 million was given out to 52 QEII Fields. From Powys in Wales to Calderdale in West Yorkshire, communities successfully applied for SITA Trust grants for their Fields.

The funding resulted in new play trails, walking tracks, multi-use games areas and rejuvenated pavilions.

Students and Staff from Judgemeadow Community College took part in the official announcement of Leicester City's King Power Stadium hosting 3 games at the 2015 Rugby World Cup. City's ground is one of 13 stadia selected to stage matches during the tournament in England in two years time. The city will host Pool C & D matches, including Argentina for 2 games during the tournament, with a highlight promising to be Argentina v Tonga on October 4th.
