Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

Lord Taverners Minibuses Grant Programme

Deadline: 11:59pm - Tue 28th February, 2017

The Lords Taverners, the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, has announced that its Minibuses grants programme has re-opened for applications. Applications are being accepted from schools/ organisations that cater for young people under the age of 25 who have a physical/ sensory/ learning disability. Please note that the Lords Taverners are unable to support schools that cater for socially disadvantaged children, or mainstream schools for children with behavioural problems.

The Greggs Foundation – Local Community Project Fund

Amount: up to £2,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Fri 3rd March, 2017

The Local Community Projects Fund helps organisations based in local communities to deliver projects or provide equipment to people in need at the heart of our local communities. The programme is administered by seven charity committees throughout England, Wales and Scotland.

Spirit of the Community Award

Amount: up to £5,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Mon 6th March, 2017

Registered charities, not-for-profit community organisations and constituted voluntary groups in England and Scotland are eligible to apply for funding for projects that will benefit communities where the Yorkshire & Clydesdale Bank operates.

Levelling the Field

Amount: £30,000 to £250,000

The lives of women and girls across the world have improved in many ways over the last 25 years, but there is still much to do. Empowering women and girls so that they are safe and free to lead the lives they choose is a key programme area in Comic Relief’s new global strategy.

Football Foundation’s Grow the Game

Amount: up to £1,500

The Foundation’s Grow the Game Scheme provides grants of up to £1,500 for the creation of new football teams and coaching qualifications, with money provided by The FA. The Scheme is delivered by the Foundation.

Zurich Community Trust - Local Grants Programme

Amount: £250 to £5,000

Grants are available for local voluntary organisations and charities that work with disadvantaged people and help them achieve a more fulfilling and independent lifestyle. 15-mile radius of Zurich office in B16 9PF grants are offered.

Wooden Spoon: The Children’s Charity for Rugby

Better Communities Fund

Amount: up to £40,000

The Better Communities Fund is being run by GLL a charitable social enterprise that manages leisure centres, libraries and other community services. The fund supports projects that help to get communities active and aims to help everyone to enjoy sport and physical activities, and to ensure that children and young people experience the benefits of a healthy lifestyle that participating in sport and physical activity can support.
