Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

Variety - Grants for Equipment, Playgrounds and Youth Clubs

Amount: £100 to £6,000

We’re here to help improve the care and ease the burden of looking after a child who is seriously ill or disabled. In a deprived inner city environment, it can sometimes seem the only option. So, having somewhere to hang out with friends is vital. Taking part in challenging activities often provides life-changing experiences. Every parent and grandparent knows the value of a good playground for keeping young ones occupied and exercised.

Rugby Football Foundation: Groundmatch Grants

Amount: £1,500 to £5,000

The Groundmatch Scheme provides easy-to-access grant funding for capital projects which contribute to the recruitment and retention of community rugby players.

Amount: £20 to £5,000

The British Gymnastics Foundation is providing a new Hardship Grant to provide financial support to enable their members to continue to be involved in gymnastics.

THE ADAM MILLICHIP FOUNDATION

The Adam Millichip Foundation provides financial support to disabled people who wish to participate in sport, with the aim of improving the quality of their lives.

MCDonald's UK Kit Scheme

The McDonald’s kit scheme is back. Last year alone nearly 5,000 accredited grassroots clubs across the UK have already received over 58,000 kits. All eligible accredited clubs (with at least one youth team) will be contacted by their respective football association directly with a redemption code. Playing Fields Legacy Fund

Amount: up to £10,000

The Playing Fields Legacy Fund is a small charity established to get more people, especially the young and disadvantaged, playing sport through more effective use of playing fields. They offer grants of up to £10,000 to stimulate new investment in playing fields, including funding for drainage, levelling, returfing, ATPs, MUGAs and pavilions.

Waitrose Community Matters

Amount: £100 to £300

Community Matters is an initiative to enable Waitrose branches to support local communities and application forms can be found on the front of the Community Matters token collection points in Waitrose Branches.

Grants are available for: Welfare organisations, community groups, clubs, schools, local divisions of national charities, local charities

Amount: £3,000

Home to some of the country’s most successful teams, and the odd unusual local tradition, the East Midlands has a proud sporting history.

Amount: up to £1,000

Persimmon Community Champions is here to help local community groups, good causes and charities and can donate up to £1000 to local UK groups and charities, which have already raised vital funds themselves.

Backing The Best

• Backing the Best has been developed to support talented young athletes who, because of their family's financial situation, might not get the opportunity to fulfil their sporting potential.
• Backing the Best will help England to develop talent from areas that it might otherwise miss out on. It will help athletes with limited resources realise their potential without having to worry about petrol costs, hotel stays, kit, or even the most basic tools – such as trainers or the right food and nutrition.
• Priority for disabled athletes, females and those from BME backgrounds.

Carriers for Causes

Amount: up to £1,000

Grants of up to £1,000 available to give good causes within a two mile radius of a One Stop store. The grants will be available to support projects that benefit local communities - helping to improve lives and local places.

Our training grant (we call it our Open Bursary) offers financial support to passionate fitness teachers and instructors hoping to develop their career in the fitness industry.

Angling Improvement Fund

Amount: up to £10,000

The Angling Trust is inviting applications for a share of £200,000 to help fund projects to manage fish predation and improve ‘access for all’ at fisheries.
