Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

The Mick George Community Fund

Amount: £5,000 to £50,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Wed 27th September, 2017

The Mick George Community Fund has roughly £200,000 available to community projects that meet the criteria per year. In order to submit a loan application all projects must be located within the vicinity of a Mick George site and operating area.

The Greggs Foundation – Local Community Project Fund

Amount: up to £2,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Fri 29th September, 2017

The Local Community Projects Fund helps organisations based in local communities to deliver projects or provide equipment to people in need at the heart of our local communities. The programme is administered by seven charity committees throughout England, Wales and Scotland.

Comic Relief - Try for Change – Large Grants Programme

Amount: up to £100,000

Amount: up to £250

Aviva Community Fund

Amount: up to £25,000

The Aviva Community Fund offers you the chance to get funding from £1,000 up to £25,000 for an important cause in your community.

Comic Relief Fund: Core Strength – Local Communities

Amount: £1,000 to £5,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Thu 26th October, 2017

This 12 month programme will provide funding for groups’ core costs – meaning expenditure that is not connected to delivering projects but focusing on investing in the organisation as a whole, such as basic running costs (e.g. rent/overheads of office, core staff such as administrators, staff/volunteer training, business planning or development).

The Police and Crime Commissioner's Prevention Fund 2017/2018

Round Deadline: 12:00am - Tue 31st October, 2017

The Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner has set aside £250,000 of his 2017/18 budget to create a Prevention Fund that will support third sector organisations in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland to keep communities safe and healthy.

Play Tennis Fund

Amount: up to £5,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Fri 3rd November, 2017

The Play Tennis Fund is a small grants funding scheme aimed at supporting the tennis network across Britain in establishing effective local projects to grow tennis participation. Projects can apply for a maximum of £5,000 from the Play Tennis Fund and can target any age group of participants from 12 years of age upwards.

Sport England's Tackling Inactivity and Economic Disadvantage Fund

Amount: £1,000 to £500,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Mon 6th November, 2017

New £3 million fund for projects that support inactive people from lower socio-economic groups in England by engaging with them through sport and physical activity.

East Midlands Airport Community Fund

Amount: up to £2,000

Round Deadline: 12:00am - Fri 10th November, 2017

The Community Fund awards grants to support eligible projects that have a long-lasting community, social or environmental benefit and can award a maximum of £2,000 per application.

SUEZ Landfill Communities Fund

Amount: £1 to £50,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Fri 10th November, 2017

SUEZ Communities Trust provides funds to not-for-profit organisations to undertake work that is eligible under the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF). Applications are considered for three areas of work which qualify for funding through the LCF.

Heart Research UK and Subway Healthy Heart Grant

Amount: up to £10,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Tue 14th November, 2017

These Heart Research UK and Subway® Healthy Heart Grants are available thanks to the fundraising done in Subway® stores and through the Subway Helping Hearts™ Family 5Ks. They are available for new, original and innovative projects that actively promote Heart Health and help to prevent, or reduce, the risk of heart disease near you.

VCSE Health and wellbeing fund 2017 to 2018

Amount: up to £300,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Tue 21st November, 2017

The Department of Health and Public Health England are inviting applications from voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to apply for the Health and Wellbeing Fund on social prescribing. They have produced and information pack for organisations considering an application together with an application form.

EnviroGrant

The Veolia Environmental Trust offers grants of between £10,000 and £75,000 for projects located within the proximity of a qualifying Veolia site in England or Wales.

Department of Health Funding for Childrens Activity and Sports Prostheses

Amount: up to £5,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Thu 1st March, 2018

The Department of Health has made the decision to fully fund sports and activity prostheses for children in England who have suffered from limb loss or were born with a limb deficiency. Up until now, there has been no dedicated funding available for children's activity or sports limbs.
