Following the very recent appointment of a Community Director, Birmingham City Football Club Community Trust are about to embark on a new chapter in their 19-year history of delivering sporting and education based initiatives.

This role requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required and to be available to trouble-shoot.

The registered Charitable Trust is seeking an individual with a proven track record in leading and managing administration at all levels of an organisation. This is a rare opportunity to be part of an exciting and ambiguous organisation that is expected to grow significantly in the future with a close working relationship with BCFC.

We need a smart, outstanding and confident individual to manage all aspects of the administration and support services to make sure our business, programmes, projects and day to day operation runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a key role which impacts significantly on every aspect of our business from charitable compliance to our delivery in the local community.

Reporting directly to the Community Director, the post holder will play a key role in the forthcoming restructure and be a key part of the future Senior Management team. Working closely with departments in the parent football club, in addition to our stakeholders at national and regional level will form a key strand of the role.

Standard office management duties will be expected with the areas of PA support, HR finance and governance forming a core part of the role.

You will need a wide range of skills and happy to muck in when needed to get the job done. You will have energy and be passionate about your work, as the role will grow in responsibility and duties. Dynamic and resourceful, you will be comfortable in dealing with individuals at all levels in the operation; leading our administration operation to ensure that all office services and administration processes work effectively.

To succeed in this role you will be:

  • Ideally educated to degree, HND, 'A' Level or equivalent experience
  • Have a relevant qualification in secretarial, business, administration or management studies
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel software packages or similar

Having a 'can do' attitude, and good cultural fit is more critical than experience.
