EMpowered Programme
‘EMpowered’ is a termly project which matches the 7 Values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to the 7 disciplines in the women’s Heptathlon event.
Children and young people can follow web links to stories that reflect the value or celebrate the top stars in the discipline. They can then submit either a discursive or creative response to have the chance to win a prize supplied by a London 2012 partner organisation.
‘EMpowered’ launched on 7th June 2010 for children and young people in the East Midlands with the value ‘Courage’ and the 100 metres hurdles.
