Bronze Medal in the Euros

Not the colour medal we wanted but what a result it was for us to get the bronze medal in the European Championships. A massive thank you to everyone who has helped along my journey. I really couldn't of asked for better support or preparation. Personally was fantastic not to concede a goal throughout the championships and have qualified for the World Cup. Preparation starts now !!!

European Championships

Just finished our holding camp and after beating Japan we are ready. Me personally and the squad will give everything we have to make sure we come back with the gold. Just like to say thank you for all the support and without LRS, I wouldn't be where I am today.

This is our time!!!

European Tour

Another great learning curve for us travelling to Germany and Spain to compete in 8 matches in 6 days, pushing us to our very best. We took a relatively inexperienced team and the boys all did fantastic. Every match we played regardless if we won or lost, allowed every player to continue their learning, as we played some fantastic opposition in Argentina, Germany and Spain. Was great for me personally to play another load of matches, allowing me to make my statement on being number 1 for the European Championships.

Thank you for the continued support,

Dyl

Futsal PS World Cup

My first ever World Cup personally and WOW what a trip it was. The best experience I have ever had in my sporting career to date.

It is all still all a blur but my gosh, what a feeling it was to find ourselves in a WORLD CUP FINAL. We beat teams this tournament, the likes of France and Russia who we had never even taken a point of before in a championships

Just want to thank everybody who has helped me achieve this and without LRS this would not of been possible.

We made HISTORY!!

Russia Fixtures

Russia the silver medalists at the Euros 2015, was the next challenge we faced as an England squad on the road to the Euros.

As I say time and time again, hard work pays off and I was right again. After being knocked of by Russia in the 2015 Euros, we definitely wanted to give them a shock and let them know England are stronger than ever.

Fixture 1 - England 1 - 0 Russia

Fixture 2 - England 1 - 1 Russia

Fixture 3 - England 0 - 0 Russia

Once again we stay unbeaten and show our class.

Thanks for the support,

Dyl

FA Disability Cup Final

This is the biggest domestic cup of the season. With our young unexperienced side, we were never even expected to make it to the final but with hard work we proved everybody wrong.

Playing an experienced Merseyside Blind it was always going to be tough but we showed that the team spirit and culture we have created, was always going to give us a fighting chance. A bit of MAGIC from England captain Robin Williams and a lot of last ditch saves and blocks got us over the line against all the odds.

Final Score

RNC Foxes 3 - 2 Merseyside Blind

Turkey Fixtures

April saw us face the European Champions Turkey!!! Was always going to be tough but we showed that hard work pays off as we came out on top.

Fixture 1 - England 1 - 1 Turkey

Fixture 2 - England 0 - 0 Turkey

Fixture 3 - England 2 - 1 Turkey

These result shows we are ready for Berlin in August. 4 months of hard work and we will be ready to bring back that European Championship.

Thanks for the support as always,

The season begins

After the Paralympic games, we are back to the drawing board, where we build and prepare for the challenges ahead. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Abbi and her team for all the support last year. I would not have been able to commit to the amount of training without this massive financial support, and I'm truly thankful.

England 0 - 1 Argentina

Mid-June saw us face an in-form Argentina side. This was a great test personally as you don't get to play against, in my opinion, the best team in the world often. We battled hard and I had a very busy game, but just fell short when they scored in the last two minutes. Many lessons to be learnt and we held our heads high for the performance we gave. Just like to wish the Argentinian team the best of luck at Rio 2016 Games and hope they get the Gold medal they deserve.

England 4 - 0 France !!!!!!!

The Paralympic silver medalists came unstuck in May when they faced a new, hungry, English Blind Football team. Personally, I was very happy to keep a clean sheet and see a brilliant debut start from roommate Brandon Coleman. Onwards and upwards for the Argentina fixture next month!

Mini Camp and League Champions

Many thanks to Go Gold for my 2016 funding. What a night it was, and an honour to win the chairmans trophy award and give the other athletes an insite into blind football.

I have used my funding to help pay towards my hotel in our week in Hereford, where a few of the team trained together away from England to work on individual areas for improvement leading towards our fixtures against France in May.

On a high note my domestic team, West Bromich Albion won the league on Saturday with 2 matches left which is an incredible achievement by all.
