Active Together Main Events
The stadiums might be empty, but don't let cancelled major events ruin your summer of sport. Between June and September, we're bringing you a series of events and challenges to keep you entertained.
We believe now is more important than ever to stay active and welcome you to join our active community across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our Active Together Main Events series will bring variety, engagement and - in some cases - friendly competition.
There is a challenge for everyone, and you can take part in one or all of the challenges. Don't worry, you don't have to be a big sports fan either, any activity counts, but the more the better!
Further information on each of the challenges can be found below. We invite you to take part and hope you can spread the message amongst your family, friends, teammates and co-workers so we can all stay Active Together.
If you're sharing your activity through social media please tag us in your post and use the hashtags #ActiveTogether and #LRSMainEvent.

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games would have seen 537 events across 22 different sports. Despite postponement of the games, we want to encourage everyone to try something new. Take part in this challenge by completing different activities each time you do any exercise. Use our tracker to log what you've done and see how many unique activities you can complete over two weeks.
Whether you choose yoga, a round of golf, a walk in your local park or a dance around the kitchen, every activity counts!

The Important Stuff
Whilst taking part in physical activity, participants should ensure they take part at a level which is appropriate to them and their health and are responsible for ensuring they check the credentials and health and safety requirements for each activity. It is recommended that participants follow the Chief Medical Officers Guidelines for physical activity. Participants will choose to take part in activities at their own risk.
Important: Participants must undertake activities in their own home or whilst conforming to the government's social distancing and self-isolation rules. The Government advise that you can leave your house to exercise outdoors with up to 5 other people, provided you are meeting social distancing guidelines. You should stay 2m away from anyone who isn't part of your household. More advice: www.gov.uk/government/news/coronavirus-guidance-on-access-to-green-spaces
