Applying for GO GOLD Funding 2018/19

The 2018/19 GO GOLD Funding Programme will be open for applications from 1 November - 31 December 2017.

Step 1

Read and carefully consider our new GO GOLD Criteria. All applications will automatically be put forward for Podium Level Funding, however if they do not full meet the eligibility criteria, applications will not be considered.

Step 2

Complete and submit your online application form which can be found below. Please complete all questions in as much detail as possible to aid the panel's decision to fund. By creating an account on LRS website, this will allow you to save your progress and come back to your application at a later date.

Step 3

Upon receipt of your completed application, it will be sent to the appropriate National Governing Body for verification and prioritisation. The GO GOLD Panel will meet on Thursday 8th February 2018 and their decision on your application will be communicated w/c 12 February 2018

Step 4

If you are unsuccessful in receiving Podium Level Funding we will automatically refer your application to your Local Authority for a Performance grant if they are participating in the programme (see criteria page for participating authorities).

All successful applicants will have to begin completing their online blogs from April 2018 and attend a compulsory presentation evening on 19th April 2018

Important Information

All sections of the application form should be completed and confirmed that they are submitted with parental/guardian consent if under 18 years. Any incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant for amendment, providing there is sufficient time for it still to be submitted before the closing date.

All awards are given at the discretion of the GO GOLD Panel and all applicants will be advised of the decision taken. If an applicant is dissatisfied with the outcome of their application, they may contact the Panel in writing only - no dialogue regarding an application will be entered into on the telephone or via email.

All Podium level awards will be paid in instalments with the subsequent payments sent following the receipt of requested feedback via the online Athlete Blog. Applicants who do not complete the feedback will not receive their subsequent payments.
