On 5th December i raced at Birmingham In age 17-24.
I had places 2nd, 2nd, 1st in my motos which gave me second gate pick in the Final.
In the Final i took lane 1, i had a very good gate and got into first place around the first corner. I kept in first place until the finish line and took the win.
This was a great way to finish the racing we could do in 2020 and looking forward to doing more racing in 2021.

Unfortunately, I found out that I had a rib stress fracture in November but I have been really fortunate to be able to train on the bike. I have been on my turbo and I’ve done some really strong but tough sessions and had a brilliant training block which I have been really happy with! I am confident that I am fitter now than before I got injured! I have also been able to do some good strength and conditioning in the gym – while I may not be able to go back to the gym for a while, I have enough equipment to get me through!! Thankfully my rib is healing well and I am hopeful for a better 2021! Thank you once again to LRS for their continued support.
Back home for Christmas has seen me committing to more home workouts and one gym session in a public gym before they closed again for tier 4. I’ve enjoyed the break and I’m ready to train hard and push myself after Christmas leading up to Tokyo selections!
December has seen full training resume, some hard sessions have really helped with the fitness levels. I finished the year with an in club gala which was great practice for the competitions that I will be hopefully be able to compete in next year. Unfortunately the latest move into Tier 4 does mean that training once again becomes land based for the foreseeable future. Fingers crossed that 2021 is a better year for swimmers everywhere. I would like to thank LRSport for their continued support and wish everybody "A Happy New Year", keep safe.
Despite the cold weather, I was glad to be back on the water this month with a weekend of training and a small event at my club. The training was in heavy wind conditions with a focus on starting and I really enjoyed it. It was challenging and I definitely felt like I became more comfortable with tactics I wouldn't usually try. I also took part in the Draycote Double, a two-race event for members of my club, getting a 2nd and a 1st in the Laser radial fleet meaning I finished 1st Laser radial and 10th overall. The racing was really close with some good competition so I'm pleased with how I sailed.
Trials which were meant to take place before Christmas were unfortunately cancelled but the good news is that they have been rescheduled for January with the final selection in February. In the meantime, all invited athletes have been but into a long squad which I am so grateful for the opportunity.
Had a bit of time to rest and recover over Christmas and working hard for upcoming trials. Looking forward to what 2021 brings.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy new year.
I'm excited to say I got selected to represent Great Britain at the World Cup in Belgium. Unfortunately due to COVID my race got cancelled so I wasn't able to travel and race. I'm gutted it got cancelled but I'm really happy I got selected and I'm excited for the next opportunity!
Last weekend i took part in some Laser training at Rutland sailing club, it was the first training i have been able to do in a long time so it was good to help me improve and allow me to focus on specific things i need to work on.
After Christmas we went for a sail on boxing day at Hollowell in my laser 4.7, although the wind was very shifty and gusty, we managed to do two races. The day after this we went out in the 29er, the shifty and gusty conditions made it difficult but it was good fun and we applied some techniques we learnt about from some zoom meetings a few days before.
When we came out of the lockdown we went straight into tier 3, so we can still swim, and hopefully we won't end up going into tier 4. It's so nice to be back in the pool getting back into it and this year has been a massive rollercoaster ride as it is.Most of my mocks went well I should get the results back after the holidays and then I will be able to work on what I need to do better.
I hope everyone has had a good Christmas and here is to a better next year for 2021.
After covid cancelling our summer trials for England we were meant to have them the weekend before christmas but unfortunately these were also then cancelled but the selection for the roses academy long squad was announced and i have been selected! really excited for future camps where the final selection will take place in February!
I have still been training with lightning weekly and we hopefully have our first game in january as a friendly :))
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and happy new year.
December 2020 - well I managed to keep training and finish for Christmas healthy. I wish everyone a very happy and healthy Christmas. Enjoy it safely. I will see see you next year. Merry Christmas all.
I continue to Train hard but the hope of Nationals from last year being played in January has been confirmed that it will not be going ahead till possibly April. So i need to continue staying focused which I am struggling with but with the support of my family and coaches I will keep training hard and getting prepared for competition.
This weekend I raced a small local league race where I came 2nd overall and won my category! Due to COVID the race was 10minutes shorter than normal so I focused on attacking out the corners and I rode really hard. I haven't had much racing this year so it was amazing to be back on the start line. The course really suited my style of riding so I am really happy with the win!
I was lucky attend the Great Britain Cyclocross Team training camp up in Yorkshire. The first day we focused on skills and drills, the conditions were really slippy so I kept falling off. It was good to push the limits and ride in conditions which can't be replicated in my training. After the session we did a strength and conditioning session followed by a workshop focusing on the World Championships. The next day was harder with timed efforts and mini races. It was amazing to be riding with the best riders in the country and I learnt so much from the coaches.
Very happy with the end of 2020 timed races in the pool at Loughborough last week, which will be the foundation moving into 2021. It felt SO good to put my race suit on again. Raced a massive personal best time in both my favourite events, the 800 and the 1500 free so things are moving in the right direction. Lots to build on but so happy with my new gym and pool programme. Praying that we will be able to compete internationally again asap in 2021. And so, I wish everyone at Go Gold continued success in 2021 and a very happy Christmas to you all.
Now that the November Lock down has ended, it is great to get back to my routine S&C training with JW Fitness. With no immediate competitions or fights, I have been concentrating on strength work. I have been set weekly targets and I am proud to say that I am exceeding all of them. I am looking forward to getting back in the ring to demonstrate my increased punch power and overall strength.
December has been a great month so far for me training wise, I’ve had some brilliant sessions and really can feel improvements in every aspect of my training!
I’m looking forward to seeing what 2021 holds for me.
I’d like to wish everyone at LRS a very merry Christmas and thank you again for the invaluable support this year!
December has been busy. I have been lucky enough to attend two Cyclocross training camps this month. On the first camp I was able to train with Team GB members and coaches which was absolutely fab and the second camp involved a weekend stay with 15 of the best girls my age. We were trained by great coaches at great locations and even though the weather was awful I got loads out of it.
Training is going well and I'm hoping that there may be some races available in the new year but I guess I'll have to watch this space…………!
Happy Christmas everyone, stay safe and hopefully 2021 will be a happy, healthy new year!
Last week British Triathlon announced the dates for the Super Series next season. This is something which I am now looking forward too and can now focus on.This has provided me with the extra motivation as, the first race is last weekend of March. I can then use this race to plan out the rest of the year, set goals and targets which I can achieve all year round.
Although I haven't trained properly in a while, I am happy say that I've got a GB camp on the 22nd and I can't wait to finally get back in my chair and get some shots up and get some good conditioning in.
I found out this week that I have maintained my place on the England Judo ETD junior Squad for 2021
I am so happy as it has been a tough year with only being able to compete before Lockdown.
It is a great to be on the England Squad as we train with the best Judoka in the country this will be my 8th year on the England squad from pre cadet - cadet and now in Juniors.
Thanks for the support
During Lockdown I bought some new weights to train with at home as I need to maintain my training schedule as much as possible.
I am running and improving my times on the runs I do
Many thanks for your support
After having a great first term at university in Durham I have managed to get some time training on the water back at my home club. This weekend it was very windy and good to stretch my legs out again with some long beats as the wind was coming straight down the lake.
Since getting back home, in addition to running, which I maintained throughout the term, I have been getting back out on my bike and cycling again.
Thanks so much to go gold for the support through the uncertain times.
Quite a lot has happened this month.
I was nominated for a LeicestershireLive Sporting Excellence Award by our Head of PE last month.
I was very fortunate and stunned to win the award and also collect the LeicestershireLive Student of the Year award too!
I was selected to move up an age group into the EnglandU17's Squad. This December camp was for selection to the final squad to play in the UEFA Euro U17's qualifying tournament in early February in Ireland. So now I just have to wait with fingers crossed to hear if I was successful!
Thrown into this I had to isolate due to a someone in school testing positive which meant that training was difficult and I had to go to camp a day late too!
Now after my mocks have finished I can get back to training with the LCFC Women's 1st team once a week.
