Health & Wellbeing Tools
The Local Authority Health Profiles provide an overview of health for each local authority in England. They pull together existing information in one place and contain data on a range of indicators for local populations, highlighting issues that can affect health in each locality
The child health profiles provide an overview of child health and wellbeing, in each local area in England.
The profiles can be used to:
- understand the needs of local communities
- improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people
- reduce health inequalities
The child health profiles are intended for use by local government and health service professionals.
The Public Health Fingertips Tool is a platform for managing indicators, creating profiles, and visualising data on the web.
It's used to create the public health outcome framework data tool, and the healthier lives application. It also underpins Health profiles, the mental health intelligence network tools, tobacco control profiles, the NCMP Data tool, NHS Health Check, National General Practice Profiles and the children and young people's benchmarking tool among others
Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs) analyse the health needs of populations. The purpose of the JSNA is to improve the health and wellbeing of the local community and reduce inequalities for all ages.
