Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR Q) Adults

Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR Q) Adults
Following your booking for the This Girl Can event March 2021 you are confirming that you have read and understood the information below and confirm that you undertake any session at your own risk.  This also applies for any additional members of your household who may participate with you.

Regular physical activity is beneficial to health.  Adults should aim to be physically active for 2.5 hours every week.  Participating in physical activity is safe for most people and should not pose any hazards.

LRS recommends that participants who are planning to become more physically active than they are now should complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q).  The PAR-Q is designed to identify the small number of adults for whom physical activity might be appropriate or who should consider seeking medical advice before commencing an exercise programme or participating in a sporting event.
If you answered 'No' to all of the above questions, you are cleared to take part in physical activity.

- If you answered 'Yes' to any of the questions above it is advised that you seek medical advice or speak to a qualified exercise professional before increasing your physical activity or commencing an exercise programme.

- If you are pregnant, or have been pregnant in the last 6 months, you are advised to talk to a health care practitioner before becoming more physically active.

- If you have a temporary illness (such as a cold or fever), it is best to delay becoming more active until you are better.

- If your health changes, talk to a Doctor or qualified exercise professional before increasing your physical activity or continuing with an exercise programme.
