Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

Near Neighbours Small Grant Scheme

Near Neighbours brings people together from communities that are religiously and ethnically diverse, so that they can get to know each other better, build relationships of trust and collaborate on initiatives that improve the local community they live in.

The grants programme which is part of Near Neighbours is being administered by our partner organisation, Church Urban Fund. Near Neighbours is funded by the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government. We work with those of any faith or none.

Our Business Engagement Programme will help you to develop and incorporate active and sustainable travel as part of your workplace culture.

Funded by the Department for Transport, grants of up to £5000 are available to help boost the levels of active and sustainable travel amongst your staff.

They are match funded and designed to help you overcome barriers to active travel, for instance by funding cycle parking, lockers or showers.

England Boxing Tackling Inequalities Fund

£300 to £3,000

England Boxing is distributing a further £150,000 of Sport England funding to help ease the financial burden on boxing clubs in the country’s most deprived communities.

Applications for the Tackling Inequalities Fund are being accepted with immediate effect for between £300 and £3,000.

The Screwfix Foundation currently offers local registered charities and not for profit organisations funding of up to £5,000.

The funding is for projects that relate to the repair, maintenance, improvement or construction of homes, community buildings and other buildings in deprived areas or for those in need.

CrowdFund Leicester is all about connecting people, communities, businesses and resources to ideas that will make our City an even better place to live, work visit and study.

Leicester City Mayor uses Spacehive to help you create, fund and deliver your project idea. It
could pledge up to £ 10,000 towards your project.

Voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations have a vital role working alongside our NHS colleagues to support anyone who has a mental health problem.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, demand for mental health services is increasing.

To help VCS organisations based in England continue to provide mental health services - or provide additional support - organisations can apply for a Coronavirus Mental Health Response Fund (CMHRF) grant.

As the recreational game returns to play, the two ECB emergency funding schemes that are available to cricket clubs and leagues have undergone some changes to specifically help clubs re-open and get games of cricket on under new COVID-19 guidelines.

Sport England Community Emergency Fund *Temporarily Paused*

£300 to £10,000

This new fund aims to help community sport and physical activity organisations who are experiencing short term financial hardship or the ceasing of operations due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Sterry Family Foundation

up to £3,000

A small number of grants are available to registered charities for the advancement of education, arts and culture, amateur sports, the promotion of good health and relief for sickness in the UK and Africa.

RYA Foundation

Grants are available for sailing clubs in the UK to promote participation in boating by those who are disadvantaged by reason of youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances.

One Stop Causes for Carriers Grant

Grants are available to local non-profit organisations and groups for projects within two miles of a One Stop store in Great Britain that benefit local communities by helping to improve lives and local places.

Hidden Charitable Fund

£500 to £1,500

Grants are available to voluntary and community groups in the UK to help run summer play schemes for the benefit of disadvantaged children.

Douglas Arter Foundation

£500 to £2,000

Grants are available to UK registered charities for projects for the benefit of people of all ages with physical and mental disabilities within the UK.

Canoe Foundation

£2,000 to £10,000

Grants for clubs, community groups and regions across the UK with an active interest in wider canoeing participation.
