Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

Cyclists Fighting Cancer

Primarily encourage exercise and activity for the child surviving cancer

Coalfields Regeneration Trust: Community Grants

£500 to £10,000

The Coalfields Community Grants programme provides funding from £500 to £10,000 to organisations who will make a positive difference in their community

BBC's Children in Need grants programme

Open to organisations working with young people who are 18 years and under and are disadvantaged

Market Harborough Charitable Fund

£250 to £2,000

In order to further support local communities in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland, Market Harborough Building Society created its own Charitable Foundation in 1999.

Leicestershire and Rutland Playing Fields Association Starter Grants

up to £500

Grant to help with starting a new sport at your club; setting up a new team; encouraging a different group of people to take part in sport; or developing new skills such as coaching

GO GOLD Funding Programme

£250 to £1,000

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS) and our partners are pleased to support talented young athletes through the GO GOLD Funding Programme.

St Matthews Big Local

up to £1,000

This Small Grants programme has come from the Big Lottery Fund and is available to individuals and not for profit groups working with beneficiaries from the St Matthews Estate, Leicester.

£30,000 is available in small grants to projects that will contribute to the St Matthews Big Local vision.

Biffa Award

£10,000 to £75,000

Biffa Award uses money from landfill tax credits, donated by Biffa Waste Services to award grants to community and environmental projects across the UK.

Joanna Brown Trust

£100 to £1,000

The Joanna Brown Trust provides talented young athletes from across the UK with financial support to help them excel in their chosen sports.

In addition to our funding partnerships with Sport Islington and Sports Aid, The Joanna Brown Trust welcomes applications for grant funding from young people participating in sport.

To apply for a grant from The Joanna Brown Trust please send an email or letter outlining why you should be awarded a grant, how you would use it and how it would benefit you in your chosen sport.

Sports Aid

SportsAid Awards help Athletes to meet essential costs such as travel, training, accommodation, competition fees and equipment.

Discovery Grants

up to £5,000

Grants must directly benefit disadvantaged people in the UK and must be for something that is wholly charitable. Funding is available to cover part time salaries, equipment or materials but is for one year and must deliver a local project, not a national initiative. We aim to fund a complete item rather than simply make a contribution to an appeal.

Blaby LSA Talented Athlete Support Scheme

up to £100

As part of the Blaby District Local Sports Alliance's commitment to supporting and developing local talented athletes, the Blaby Talented Athlete Support Scheme aims to support talented sports performers in the Blaby District and encourage them to develop to their full potential.

The Market Harborough and the Bowden's Charity

The Charity was formed in July 1994 by the amalgamation of three much older charities, The Market Harborough Town Estate and Bates Charity, The Little Bowden Charity and The Town Lands (Great Bowden) Charity.

The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation

£25,000

The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation (BSCF) was established in 1960 and is a general grant making trust.

Football Foundation Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund Small Grants Scheme

£1,000 to £10,000

The Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund Small Grants Scheme awards grants of up to £10,000 for the provision of capital items, or to refurbish/improve existing facilities.

Foyle Foundation Small Grants Scheme

£1,000 to £10,000

Our Small Grants Scheme is designed to support smaller charities in the UK, especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities.

Gift Aid Small Donations (CASC)

You can claim back 25p every time an individual donates £1 to your charity or community amateur sports club (CASC). This is called Gift Aid.

B&Q Waste Donation Scheme

B&Q operates a waste donation scheme through all stores

Aspire Grants for Spinal Cord Injury

Aspire provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, supporting them from injury to independence.

Whizz-Kidz

Whizz-Kidz provides a range of mobility equipment to children with disabilities, to give them independence at home, at school and at play.
