Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

Ability Club Support Scheme

Amount: £300 to £1,000

Table Tennis England is boosting its support of disability and inclusive sport by launching the Ability Club Support Scheme.

James Brownhill Memorial Fund

Each year bursaries will be awarded to part fund training courses run by Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre. The JBMF currently provides 12 bursaries a year.

The Future Leaders Fund

Available to help volunteer leaders in the outdoors access the training they need and deserve in order for them to perform better as a leader or coach in mountain sports.

Parks for People

Amount: £100,000 to £5,000,000

Historic public parks and cemeteries are valued places at the centre of local communities. Help to conserve them with funding of £100,000–£5million.

Amount: up to £20,000

Esmee Fairbairn Foundation - Main Grants

Amount: £5,000 to £500,000

The Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for people throughout the UK by supporting work that focuses on the arts, children and young people, the environment, and social change.

Sport England Major Events Fund

Amount: up to £150,000

The Fund is designed to invest in projects to strengthen and ultimately increase participation in sports by enhancing the engagement national governing bodies (NGBs) have with local communities when they are hosting major international sporting events in England.

Bowls England Development Loan

Amount: up to £20,000

Development Loans are available for Bowls clubs affiliated with Bowls England and relates to any item such as clubhouse improvements, fencing, car parks and changing rooms and loans of up to £20,000 (free of interest), repayable over up to eight years, are available.

Amount: up to £500

Grants to help clubs starting a junior section, but in particular women & girls development and disability development.

The FA and Football Foundation Respect Grant

The FA and Foundation’s Respect barriers and Respect packs (made up of captains’ armbands, marshals’ bibs and Respect Signage) are available to football leagues and clubs to ensure there is good behaviour by players and parents alike in the grassroots game, with money provided by The FA and vouchers supplied by the Foundation.

Adventure Unlimited - Tanya Fund

Amount: up to £750

Support individuals, particularly women, who have chosen a career in outdoor education but face real barriers in advancing that career, such as discrimination or low income. The fund will make a difference by paying for training and qualification courses that will enable new outdoor leaders to learn progress and excel in helping others.
