Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

Barchester Charity Foundation - Reconnecting Disabled people with Local Community

£100 to £5,000

Barchester’s Charitable Foundation is a registered charity that helps older people and other adults with a disability across England, Scotland & Wales. This year our focus is about connecting or re-connecting people with others in their local community. Applications that combat loneliness and enable people to be active and engaged will receive our highest priority in 2019.

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Work Grant

£10,000 to £60,000

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) has a grant fund of £25m a year until 2021 and £4m a year has been set aside for projects focused on helping marginalised young people. Youth work organisations can apply to two new funds - a Youth Fund and a Growth Fund. The Youth Fund will provide grants of between £10,000 and £60,000 to go towards core operating costs.

Magna Park Community Fund

£250 to £2,500

Funding from £250-£2500 is available.

Captain Scott Society - Spirit of Adventure Award

up to £2,500

The scheme is intended to support groups undertaking adventurous endeavours. In particular, the scheme wishes to fund adventurous "firsts", which have not previously been attempted.

Tesco Bag's of Help

up to £4,000

Bags of Help is Tesco’s exciting local community grant scheme where the money raised from the 5p bag charge is being used to fund thousands of local projects in communities right across the UK.

UK Community Foundations Network

Community Foundations harness the generosity of individuals, families and businesses to support local communities and thousands of people in need.

Screwfix Foundation

The Screwfix Foundation is a registered charity set up in 2013. We have a clear purpose of raising funds to support projects that will fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for those in need throughout the UK.

The Police and Crime Commissioner's Prevention Fund 2019/2020

up to £25,000

The Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner has made a further £250,000 available in 2019/2020 and £200,000 for 2020/2021 to to support grassroots groups across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland which address the community safety goals outlined in his Police and Crime Plan.

Transform Foundation - Facebook and Website Grants

The Transform Foundation provides grants for charities to develop an effective social media and web presence with the aim of developing future funding streams.

Fields in Trust - Active Spaces programme

up to £5,000

The Active Spaces programme combines the protection in perpetuity of green spaces, together with revenue funding to engage inactive people on those spaces. Each site will be offered delivery of a physical activity project on-site to the value of £5,000 to serve local needs and target identified groups of inactive people.

East Midlands Airport Community Fund

up to £2,000

The Community Fund awards grants to support eligible projects that have a long-lasting community, social or environmental benefit and can award a maximum of £2,000 per application.

East Midlands Airport Sponsorship Fund

up to £200

East Midlands Airport also have a Sponsorship Fund, a large number of requests are received and they try to support as many as possible.

LTA - Facility Loan Scheme

up to £250,000

The Facility Loan Scheme provides loans up to £250,000 to help venues deliver projects that will grow the number of people playing tennis.

Magic Little Grants Fund

up to £500

Localgiving's Magic Little Grants scheme provides small unrestricted grants on behalf of grant makers to local charities and community groups to support their vital work.

Henry Smith Charity - Improving Lives Fund

£20,000 to £60,000

The Main Grants: Improving Lives Fund is the largest of the Charity’s funds, and will support the work of established charitable organisations with incomes of up to £2 million. Funding is available for projects that help people when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available.

SHIRE Community Grant

up to £10,000

To help deliver the priorities of Leicestershire County Council's Communities Strategy, the SHIRE Community Grant programme will enable voluntary and community sector organisations (including social enterprises and Town/Parish Councils) to deliver community-based projects, services and activities which help to improve the lives of vulnerable people in Leicestershire.

Edith Murphy Foundation

£500 to £5,000

The Trustees are given in the Trust Deed wide power of making grants and are not restricted geographically.

Suez Landfill Communities Fund

up to £50,000

SUEZ Communities Trust provides funds to not-for-profit organisations to undertake work that is eligible under the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF).

Veolia Environmental Trust

£10,000 to £75,000

Support the community and environmental projects across England through the Landfill Communities Fund, using money provided by Veolia.

HSBC Golf Roots Plus

up to £1,500

HSBC Golf Roots Plus supports local groups and organisations working with young people where involvement in golf may provide an alternative and positive focus. It may be used as a diversion to antisocial behaviour or as an inspirational activity that provides an opportunity for young people to experience the wide and varied benefits of golf.
