Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Receive our 'Clubs & Funding Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will need to register/login, go to your 'Dashboard', then 'Account' and 'Email and Sharing' to update which Newsletters you would like to receive.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to the Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register/login and click 'Add Fund.' All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live. LRS excludes all responsibility for the sources added by 3rd party organisations.

Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund

Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund

£1,000 to £10,000

The Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund Small Grants Scheme awards grants of up to £10,000 for the provision of capital items, or to refurbish/improve existing facilities. The aims of this scheme are to: Support the growth of football clubs and activity, Prevent a decline in football participation and Make improvements to facilities to address any health and safety issues.

Discovery Grants

Discovery Grants

up to £5,000

Grants must directly benefit disadvantaged people in the UK and must be for something that is wholly charitable. Funding is available to cover part time salaries, equipment or materials but is for one year and must deliver a local project, not a national initiative. We aim to fund a complete item rather than simply make a contribution to an appeal.

The Toyota Parasport Fund

The Toyota Parasport Fund

up to £5,000

The Toyota Parasport Fund has now launched! This exciting new UK-wide programme aims to help activity providers improve the quality and quantity of sport and activities available to disabled people.

Hays Travel Foundation

Hays Travel Foundation

Grants are available for registered charities and local causes which help young people to achieve their potential within areas where Hays Travel have a branch.

Must be working in one of the following areas: Education, prevention of poverty, health, arts & culture and sports

James Brownhill Memorial Fund

James Brownhill Memorial Fund

Each year bursaries will be awarded to part fund training courses run by Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre. The JBMF currently provides 12 bursaries a year.

Joanna Brown Trust

Joanna Brown Trust

£100 to £1,000

The Joanna Brown Trust provides talented young athletes from across the UK with financial support to help them excel in their chosen sports.

In addition to our funding partnerships with Sport Islington and Sports Aid, The Joanna Brown Trust welcomes applications for grant funding from young people participating in sport.

To apply for a grant from The Joanna Brown Trust please send an email or letter outlining why you should be awarded a grant, how you would use it and how it would benefit you in your chosen sport.

gbpartnerships Community Fund

gbpartnerships Community Fund

up to £2,000

The gbpartnerships Community Fund focuses on health, education, empowerment and raising people’s skills and aspirations.

Sport England’s New Major Event Volunteer Fund

Sport England’s New Major Event Volunteer Fund

£10,000 to £100,000

This fund has been set up to pilot ways to overcome the barriers people face when they consider making the transition from volunteering at major events to local grassroots volunteering.

Persimmon Community Champions

up to £1,000

Persimmon Community Champions is here to help local community groups, good causes and charities and can donate up to £1000 to local UK groups and charities, which have already raised vital funds themselves.

Backing The Best

Backing The Best

• Backing the Best has been developed to support talented young athletes who, because of their family's financial situation, might not get the opportunity to fulfil their sporting potential.
• Backing the Best will help England to develop talent from areas that it might otherwise miss out on. It will help athletes with limited resources realise their potential without having to worry about petrol costs, hotel stays, kit, or even the most basic tools – such as trainers or the right food and nutrition.
• Priority for disabled athletes, females and those from BME backgrounds.

Severn Trent Community Fund

Severn Trent Community Fund

up to £10,000

If your organisation is registered not-for-profit, and the project you would like to fund will benefit Severn Trent customers, you may be eligible for a grant from the Severn Trent Community Fund.

The fund aims to distribute £10 million over the next 5 years.

Leicester City Council Ward Grants

Leicester City Council Ward Grants

Each ward in Leicester City has been allocated a yearly budget of £18,000 which can be used to support
projects that bring benefits to that ward.

Carriers for Causes

Carriers for Causes

up to £2,000

Grants of up to £2,000 available to give good causes within a two mile radius of a One Stop store. The grants will be available to support projects that benefit local communities - helping to improve lives and local places.

Bowls England Coaching Bursary

Bowls England Coaching Bursary

Coaching Bursary Scheme to assist members of affiliated clubs who wish to obtain a Coach Bowls qualification.

Captain Scott Society - Spirit of Adventure Award

Captain Scott Society - Spirit of Adventure Award

up to £2,500

The scheme is intended to support groups undertaking adventurous endeavours. In particular, the scheme wishes to fund adventurous "firsts", which have not previously been attempted.

The Healthy Communities Together programme

The Healthy Communities Together programme

up to £3,000,000

This programme offers up to £3 million of grant funding (over three years) to empower voluntary and community sector organisations to work together with the local health and care sector to boost the health and wellbeing of their communities.

BBC Children In Need (Small Grants)

BBC Children In Need (Small Grants)

up to £10,000

The Small Grants programme is open to charities and not-for-profit organisations applying for any amount up to and including £10,000 per year for up to 3 years.

Morrisons Foundation

Morrisons Foundation

up to £20,000

Grants are available to registered charities for new projects which will improve people's lives in the UK

Foyle Foundation: Main Grants Scheme

Foyle Foundation: Main Grants Scheme

up to £500,000

The Main Grants Scheme supports charities registered and operating in the United Kingdom, the dominant purpose of which is to benefit either the Arts or Learning. Please note that we do not support applications from
individuals.

We welcome applications from all parts of the UK, and we would like to encourage more applications from all regions and countries of the UK.
