Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport can provide further advice and support for your club/group to identify the most applicable source of funding and support you with the application process. Please visit the Funding pages of our website or use our Funding Support service in your Dashboard.

Receive our 'Funding & Clubs Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will first need to register and log in, go to your 'Dashboard' and under your Profile, select 'Clubs & Funding' in your Email Preferences.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register and log in and then click Add Fund. You should then complete the online form. All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live.

LRS excludes all responsibility for the sources added by 3rd party organisations.

SHIRE Community Grant 2017 -18

Amount: £1 to £10,000

Biffa Main Grant - Community Buildings and Recreation

Amount: £10,000 to £75,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Wed 28th February, 2018

You may have a building that needs improvement in order to increase the range of services on offer to the local community. You could have a site-based project that is working to protect and enhance a species or habitat. Or maybe it’s an open space such as a park, play area or woodland that needs transforming to benefit local people of all ages. In a nutshell, we want to make sure that everyone has access to high quality local community facilities

The North Yorkshire Smokefree Places Fund

Deadline: 11:59pm - Fri 1st December, 2017

The North Yorkshire Smokefree Places fund aims to increase the number of smokefree places across North Yorkshire, through the provision of small amounts of funding to organisations responsible for public places.

Ryedale Public Open Spaces and Recreation Grant Scheme

Deadline: 11:59pm - Fri 5th January, 2018

The Public Open Space and Recreation Facilities Grant uses funding from 'Section 106' Planning Agreements. Funding is provided by developers of projects such as house building or retail development projects, to create or improve local facilities within a given geographical area and timescale - the exact nature of this is identified in a 'Section 106' agreement for each site

Henry Smith Charity - Improving Lives Fund

Amount: £20,000 to £60,000

The Main Grants: Improving Lives Fund is the largest of the Charity’s funds, and will support the work of established charitable organisations with incomes of up to £2 million. Funding is available for projects that help people when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available.

Healthy Pupils Capital Fund

Deadline: 11:59pm - Thu 30th November, 2017

Small and single academies and sixth-form colleges will be able to bid for HPCF through the Condition Improvement Fund (2018-19) and this year's bidding round has been launched.

BBC Children in Need Main Grants Programme

Amount: £10,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Tue 16th January, 2018

BBC Children in Need Main Grants programme is currently accepting applications from charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK that support children and young people who are 18 years and younger.

Not-for-profit organisations in the UK can apply if they are supporting children and young people of 18 years and under who are experiencing disadvantage through:

• Illness, distress, abuse or neglect.
• Any kind of disability.
• Behavioural or psychological difficulties.
• Living in poverty or situations of deprivation

Loughborough University Donations Fund – Open Fund

Amount: up to £750

Deadline: 11:59pm - Sat 21st April, 2018

Each year Loughborough University sets aside a budget for its Community Donations Fund to provide financial support to community groups and organisations across Charnwood.

East Midlands Airport Sponsorship Fund

Amount: up to £200

East Midlands Airport also have a Sponsorship Fund, a large number of requests are received and they try to support as many as possible.

VCSE Health and wellbeing fund 2017 to 2018

Amount: up to £300,000

Deadline: 11:59pm - Tue 21st November, 2017

The Department of Health and Public Health England are inviting applications from voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to apply for the Health and Wellbeing Fund on social prescribing. They have produced and information pack for organisations considering an application together with an application form.

The Transform Foundation provides grants for charities to develop an effective social media and web presence with the aim of developing future funding streams.

The Police and Crime Commissioner's Prevention Fund 2017/2018

The Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner has set aside £250,000 of his 2017/18 budget to create a Prevention Fund that will support third sector organisations in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland to keep communities safe and healthy.

Captain Scott Society - Spirit of Adventure Award

Amount: up to £2,500

The scheme is intended to support groups undertaking adventurous endeavours. In particular, the scheme wishes to fund adventurous "firsts", which have not previously been attempted.
