About Physiotherapist – Women’s Team
Aston Villa Women's Football Team have an exciting new opportunity for a Physiotherapist to lead the development and delivery of all aspects of physiotherapy services to the Women's First Team, in line with the club's injury reduction and performance enhancement philosophy.
We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to contribute to the overall design, implementation and effectiveness of athlete monitoring strategies and injury surveillance systems, to objectively quantify player readiness to train and minimise injury risk throughout the Women's Team.
Based at our Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, you will devise and manage rehabilitation and treatment, according to high quality research and departmental set return to play criteria. The postholder will also provide appropriate medical cover and ensure availability for all Women's training, games and external clinical appointments as per a pre-arranged training schedule, so flexibility to work evenings, weekends and on public holidays is a requirement for this post.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working within a professional team sport and in the provision of physiotherapy services to high-performance elite athletes. In addition, you should also hold a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy (minimum 2:1), membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also need to hold the Advanced Pitch-Side First Aid qualification (ATMMiF course).
Aston Villa Football Club is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to endorse this commitment.
Aston Villa Football Club celebrates the diversity of its Club and its supporters. As part of this, Aston Villa Football Club is an Equal Opportunities Employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
