About Sports Operations Assistants (fixed term for 6 months)
You will need to be a flexible team player with the ability to deliver and exceed the expectations of a variety of users, coaches and National Governing Bodies. You will be expected to plan, organise and prioritise your workload, and use your own initiative to identify opportunities for improvement as well as resolve unforeseen circumstances. A key part of this role will be preparing athletics equipment for events and training ensuring the safe operation of facilities at all times.
It is essential that you have good customer service skills and experience of working in a sporting environment. Strong IT skills would be an advantage as the site operates a leisure based booking system.
The site will operate with staff working a combination of morning, evening and weekend work. Hours will be fixed from week to week but flexibility is a requirement of the role to cater for peaks in business needs.
Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from all candidates irrespective of age, pregnancy and maternity, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief, or marital or civil partnership status.
For this job we particularly welcome applications from minoritised communities who are underrepresented in this area at Sheffield Hallam.
The University is unable to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role.
