BMC Sports students organised the 'Dodgy Challenge', a dodgeball competition to raise money for Comic Relief. This took place at the Brooksby Equestrian Centre on the 14th March and both students and staff were encouraged to get involved and raise money for a good cause. Read More »

The UK's Sky Sports Living for Sport Student and Teacher of the Year 2012 have been announced today in a sportstar-studded awards ceremony at Sky Studios in London.
Bedfordshire-based student, Wayne Instrell of Bedford Academy was crowned the Sky Sports Living for Sport Student of the Year and Leicestershire-based PE teacher, Lesley Reynolds of Brockington College in Enderby, was awarded the title of Sky Sports Living for Sport Teacher of the Year 2012. Thousands of students in further education colleges can look forward to better opportunities to get involved in sport thanks to £2 million of National Lottery investment from Sport England.
The funding will be invested into 40 further education colleges, benefitting more than 25,000 college students across England.
The investment from the Further Education Activation Fund will also enable a number of colleges to work together more closely, sharing facilities and expertise. It will also support the work of the 153 College Sport Makers recruited through £17 million of Lottery investment from Sport England, announced earlier this year.

Last year Richard Gunn was lucky enough to run around the King Power Stadium before the Leicester City v West Ham United match with the former Leicester City player and current club Ambassador, Alan 'The Birch' Birchenall MBE and managed to raise £2,711 for the LCFC Foxes Foundation, which was an amazing amount.
