We learn more about Jody Smith's life when he's not running alongside Olympians at the Great North City Games or winning gold medals at the Welsh International Championships! He tells all about his favourite holiday destinations, long term goals and go-to cheat meal when he's not training!

A weekend away in the Alps skiing as I always find sunbathing boring!
3 What would be your dream job if not a professional athlete and why?
A physiotherapist because I know what it's like to be injured and I'd love to help people that are struggling with similar struggles I have dealt with.
4 What is your long-term goal in your sport? How do you plan to achieve this?
I want to compete in the Olympics, and there is no other way other than hard work and dedication!
5 What is your favourite 'cheat meal' when not following your training diet?

Fear of losing.
7 If you were to win the lottery, what would you spend the money on?
8 What is your favourite holiday destination and why?
Austria as the skiing is so fun!
9 Do you have any non-sport related talents? Or any talents you would like to improve?
Gaming but I spend too much time on them!
10 If you could play any other sport, what would it be and why?
I'd like to be a trampolinist as it looks like so much fun.
11 Who is your role model and why?
Usain Bolt because he's the fastest man ever and he is such a good role model to everyone.
12 Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your 18/15/12 year old self
Always believe in yourself and you'll do just fine.

I have competed in English schools, Nationals, The Welsh International for England Midlands, I have recently ran in the Great North CityGames alongside Greg Rutherford, Mo Farah and Reece Prescod which I have wrote about on my blog (vlog / blog)
