Welcome to the 2017-18 LRS Annual Review. This review document tells the story of just some of the work undertaken by our local authority, school, voluntary and community partners - the case studies throughout the document are truly inspiring, please take a moment to read them.
Working together, the partnership has invested £1,679,594 in the work of Local Sport and Physical Activity Alliances. This investment focuses on local community delivery – it ranges from facility related grants secured, to Purposeful Physical Play training for early years settings. All of our headline achievement can be found within the Annual Review 2017/18.
It has proved to be another remarkable year and as we look back, the following key events are worthy of particular note:
- Production of a new LRS Strategy and Business Plan – both written and adopted by our partners, board and team.
- Quest Active Communities, Partner Survey and Staff satisfaction survey results that puts us in the top quartile of all CSPs in England.
- 10 Graduate Trainees and 18 Apprentices recruited and deployed.
- Funding secured to enable us to appoint the first County Sport Partnership Economy and Sport Growth Manager.
The review looks further into the key success, highlights and the impact throughout the year which underlines the core areas of the 2017-2021 strategy, followed by enterprise and innovation, and financial headlines.
We hope you enjoy the success stories and the overall impact towards a more active Leicester-Shire & Rutland!
