Volunteers have been doing an amazing job of keeping sports clubs and groups going over this past year. To recognise their efforts, Sport England and Club Matters have released a new video with Baroness Grey-Thompson DBE to thank them for everything they have been doing.
At a time when sports clubs and organisations have faced unprecedented challenges, the invaluable role of those who give up their time to support the sport sector has never been more apparent.
With many clubs and organisations beginning to restart once again, it is the perfect time to appreciate the amazing efforts of our sector's volunteers; to say thank you for working so tirelessly to keep their clubs and community organisations going, and for going the extra mile.
To that end, Sport England Club Matters has joined forces with partners from across the sector in a collaborative message of thanks to those who have supported grassroots sports during the last 12 months.
Led by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE, the video captures heartfelt messages from participants across dozens of sports showing their appreciation for all those who have stepped up to support their communities, and help grassroots sport come through these difficult times.
