Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education Specialism Course

2017/18 Professional Learning Centre of the Year

This nationally recognised qualification aims to upskill primary school teachers, future teachers and school support staff to improve the overall delivery of the Physical Education curriculum. On successful completion of this qualification, delegates will be able to assist in raising the standards within primary school physical education teaching.

Here at Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport, we are delighted to be able to once again offer primary schools this exciting course to support the development of Physical Education and School Sport.

What is the qualification?

A bespoke physical education and school sport qualification for primary school teachers, future teacher and school support staff, developed by the Association for Physical Education (AfPE) and Sports Leaders UK.

The aim of the qualification is to up-skill primary colleagues to be able to assist the delivery of high quality primary school PE. The course will address the top 3 concerns of subject knowledge, health and safety and subject leadership.
