I competed in the BJC Southfields competition in the 1st Weekend of February gaining a Gold Trophy after a total of 6 well fought fights.
It was a great day and I was very pleased as BJC have slightly different rules to BJA judo so had to change some of my favourite throws.
Also this month I have my 2nd Ranking competition in Lancashire and ETD testing so it is busy but great fun.

This weekend I achieved Gold in the Midland area ranking competition. I won all my 4 fights.
I also gained another 100 Ranking points which I am very pleased about as I am now in the Cadet age group and at the bottom of a 3year age group.
I am also very pleased to have earned a place in the Cadet England Squad for the year.
Thank you for a great presentation evening last week and for the award. It will go towards 3 international competitions this year.
What a fantastic weekend .
I competed in the British Championships on Saturday my 1st competition in my new age band of the Cadets.
I achieved a Bronze medal after after getting into the medal pools . I also earned my first 100 ranking points.
It was a great day and I am happy with my achievements.
What a fantastic night I have just attended the Rutland Sports award and achieved Runner up for Young Sportsman of the year ( well done to Toby Williams fellow Go Gold Athlete who won this award ).
It was a great awards night and I was interviewed by Rob Persani Rutland Radio DJ as part of my LR sport PR. The interview went well even though I was very nervous as it was a very full function room.

What a fantastic weekend .
I have just competed with the English judo Squad in Flanders Cup Belgium .
I earned a silver medal after a total of 7 fights only losing in the 7th fight .
I am pleased with my performance as I was the winner of my pool earning more points due to winning 2 fights with ippon the highest score.
This is also my first major International medal competed abroad for England and is a personal best for me.
I would like to thank Go Gold as without their help/sponsorship I would not have been able to fund this international tournament.
Last weekend I competed in the Southend International and achieved bronze, I was pleased with my performance as it was a tough competition .
In a few days I am travelling with the England judo squad to compete at Flanders international judo competition in Belgium thanks to my funding from LRS as this is another self funded competition. I am really looking forward to competing my group will be very big last year in my group there was 73 judoka , this will be a tough but great competition I am really fortunate to be able to compete internationally .
I managed to get A Bronze medal at the Heart of England (5th Sept) . I was very pleased with my performance as it was the 1st competition since I broke my hand .
I had a couple of very good fights which I won with ippon score this is the maximum score in judo.
At the end of October I will be fighting in Belgium with the England judo squad . I am also going to compete in the Southend Internationl in mid October.
Apologies for no blog the past couple of months I have been off with a broken hand/. This was my first injury and kept out of judo for 8 weeks.
I broke my hand fighting in the BJC national final and earned Silver medal my hand was injured during the final fight.
The great news is I am now back and due to fight at the Heart of England ranking competition this weekend.
I am also due to fight in Belgium with the England squad at the end of October.

Last Saturday I competed in the BJC Leicester open in my new weight group of u42kg .
It was a great day I had 3 fights and won all of them with ippon.
BJC competitions have different rules to BJA so sometimes competing can be harder but I am pleased with my progress.
This coming weekend I have England Squad training on the Saturday and the BJC Nationals on the Sunday it will be busy but great fun.
What an amazing Easter Holiday. I entered the Sportif International judo competition in Edinburgh at my new weight of U42kg . Really pleased with the result I came 5th which was fantastic. I threw a lovely Tomoe nage to earn an ippon in one of my fights.
I then (thanks to my funding ) participated in an International training camp with lots of 6th Dan coaches and Craig Fallon a world champion.
The competition and Camp were fanatsic I learnt alot and gained valuable experience. I wouldnt have been able to do the camp without the funding many thanks again.
A couple of weeks ago I competed in the North West Ranking competition in St Helens.
I was very pleased with my performance and achieved a Silver Medal there were some tough fights but it was a great competition.
I also was at England Squad training in Walsall the weekend just gone and trained with Neil Adams MBE and other Olympic Judoka this was a great but exhausting training day.
My Next major competition is in Edinburgh over Easter it is an International competition so will be hard but great fun.

At the end of January I competed in my first ranking competition of the year after gaining my place in the 2015 pre cadet England squad.
A great result of silver/2nd place.
I was really pleased as this was my first ranking competition of the year.
The following weekend I competed in Leicester at a BJC competition with a great result of silver again.

Last weekend 15 nov I competed in Crawley at the Southern area earning a Gold Medal after competing in 5 fights and finishing all 5 fights with an ippon the highest score in judo.
It was a fantastic day and a chance for me to practice some new throws ready for Nottingham this weekend 23 Nov after spending Saturday at England squad training in Walsall.
I am also preparing for the British Championships at the beginning of December as this is the major competition for the UK this year.

This weekend was my first judo competition since the summer holidays.
It was a tough comp with my fellow Squad members but was great fun and I achieved a Bronze Medal which I am very pleased about. This will hopefully have secured my place on the Pre- Cadet England Judo squad for next year.
My next competition will be The Great Northern in Gateshead which is in October.
Then at the end of October I am Fighting internationally again with the England Squad at Flanders in Belgium.

Earlier in June I was fortunate enough to represent England and travel to Holland for an International competition at Venray.
There were 45 competitors in my groups so I knew it would be very tough but also valuable experience.
I won 2 of my 4 fights and gained valuable experience I also enjoyed being part of a team with the GB squad.
Fought in the Midland open Championship ( ranking ) in February and achieved a 5th place and ranking points. Then the following week I attended the North West Open Championship ( ranking ) Liverpool I to get a Bronze medal/3rd Place , more ranking points.
In March I fought in the Welsh Open at Cardiff I got a Bronze medal.
This weekend 12th April in the London Open Championship another ranking competition and Got a gold medal after winning 4 fights.
I am very pleased with results and will be competing in the Sportiff International/Edinburgh on the 19th April.

After applying for this funding in later 2013 I was succesful in getting a Bronze Medal in the British championships for Pre-cadets/cadets. It was a very tough competition held in Sheffield but I am very pleased with the result.
I then found out in December I had been selected for the Pre cadet England squad which is my dream ..I have had a few training sessions in Walsall already .
I am also intending to do the self funded trips to Venray and Flanders this year with the England squad.
