This month has been a good month for my recovery and I have really made progress. I was also nominated for the Active Rutland Sports Awards where I came runner up for Sportswomen of the year. it was a lovely event I was got to hear about all the different athletes in my county that play various different sports.

This month I received the funding which has helped to pay the kit I need for the programme and I now feel as if I am apart of the loughborough sport which is now linked between the college and the uni. The training is heavy and the gym session but unfortunately I have picked up an injury and know recovering as quick as I can.

This month I had another midlands match which I was chosen to bench. The match was against the North who I had beaten at U15 level. The score in the end was 47-26. This was really impressive for midlands was we really worked hard and played for each other. I thought I worked really hard and impressed my coaches.

This month I was lucky enough to start as the starting hooker at the first regional match. I thought I played really well I played about 45 minutes which is a big deal because we played 35 minutes each other and then to carry on for another 10 minutes is really good. Unfortunately we lost but I thought as a team we played well together as this was our first match.

Midlands U18

This month I got into the U18 Midlands team which I had a trial for last month. I was so shocked to have been picked as one of their hookers as this year I was up against girls that were 1 or 2 years older then me. On the 18th to the 19th I will be going on my first camp which will be exciting to see all the talent that is there.

January 2017

Thank you to Leicstershire and Rutland Sport for their financial support. I plan to purchase new boots for use on 3G and 4G pitches. It will also enable me to look at a new headguard as I have recently moved to playing hooker in the front row and this will be a vital price of equipment for me. I recently attended a RFU TDG session; we worked on tackling, handling and fitness. 29th January is Midlands Under 18s Trials. This will be a step us as I move from under 15s but I am looking forward to the challenge.
