Promotion for Charnwood AC

I competed in the last couple of YDL meetings for the U20 team. The last meeting was playoff in Derby for the top teams to be promoted to the Premier Division. I finished first in the 110m Hurdles third in the 100m and first in the 4x100m Relay. Charnwood finished the meeting in 1st position and this is great news to be promoted to the Premier Division. This bodes well for next seasons competitions. Well done to all the Charnwood athletes who made this possible.

Commonwealth Youth Games

On Saturday I ran at Bedford in the U18 110m Hurdles. After a great start I finished third in the race in a time of 13.83 seconds. I am pleased with my result on the day as I had torn my Hamstring in April. I had to work hard to get back to fitness and now just lack race fitness. I can at least say I managed to run the qualifying time without being fully fit. Thanks for your support

U18 Hurdles Bedford

On Saturday 27th May 2017 I ran at the U18 Hurdles races in Bedford. This was my first competitive races since an injury to my hamstring in April. I ran 13.96 seconds and 14.21 seconds which was a disappointment as I had been running much faster before the injury. I have to take the positives and be glad that I am back running and healthy again.

It was a great honour to be invited to the Hinckley Cycle Time Trials. Many thanks to Mick Wills who organised a great event to raise Charity Funds for the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre. I was asked to present medals and Trophies to the winners and runners up. It was really inspirational to meet Luke Wigman who was left with severe injuries and loss of sensation to his left knee after stepping on a IED (improvised explosive devise) in Afghanistan. Great speech great event.

English Schools Bronze Medal

On Friday 8th July and Saturday 9th July 2016 Gateshead Stadium hosted the English Schools Athletics. I competed in the Intermediate Boys 100m Hurdles Final and won a Bronze medal narrowly missing out on Silver by 0.02 of a second. I was disappointed not to win the Final, but on reflection this will make me more determined for success. This is my second National Medal this year and I am looking forward to the rest of the season. Thanks for your support GoGold
