Winter training

Today I had my first winter training hill session. My training group trains in Western Park on Saturday mornings throughout the first part of winter training, this is to build up our strength and endurance. I hope to improve my stamina and strength, enabling me to push harder whilst running a hurdles race. I am hoping that after winter training I will be stronger and fitter, ready for the season ahead.

Derby Open Meet

Today I competed in my last competition for the season. I ran my first 400m and was pleased with my time.

I am really pleased with how my season has gone this year, coming second at English Schools, meaning I was through to represent England, and also coming second at my first ever international competition. I was quite disappointed with my performance at the England Championships as I came seventh and was hoping to do better, however I can't complain overall as I achieved what I had worked hard to.
