Due to the gym being closed, I have been training in the garage on my punch bag and speed ball that I bought with my funding. Looking forward to getting back to normal when the gym reopens and being able to spar again.
This month I have continued to work on my fitness, I have been using different techniques to improve my power, speed and fitness levels with my coach. I am really looking forward to when I can spar and compete again.
Im'm still training at home, working on fitness and strengthening... It's great news that the gyms are finally re-opening in Leicester. We have just been told that the European Championships may go ahead in November so I am working towards being selected if they go ahead and England enter a team.
Bad news Leicester is still in Lockdown but i'm still doing my own fitness training at the park and bag work with the punch bag I have bought and installed in the garage with my funding. Hopefully I will be back in the gym soon!
I am having to keep up my fitness at home so I have bought a new punchbag from Ringside with my funding and I went to get an old tractor tyre from a local farm to keep up my fitness. Missing the gym atmosphere, hopefully I will be able to get back in there soon
Due to COVID-19 I have been focusing on my fitness (going for bike rides, running, weight training and shadow boxing) in my garden. After going on a long bike ride, I fell off my bike and cut my leg open which required hospital treatment (8 stitches!!), so rather than going running/ on bike rides I am now keeping up with my upper body fitness by using weights and bands.
Can't wait to get back in the ring!
I have been spending most of my time training with my coach. I have just been invited to attend a Residential Camp in Tamworth with England boxing where I will train with the other England boxers and coaches. I am looking forward to competing in the nationals in February.
Happy to have received my England Boxing Representative Vest after competing in the 2019 Euro-championships in Romania. I have been invited to attend an England Excel and Challenge camp in Birmingham on Sunday 20th October 2019 and I am looking forward to meeting with the England squad again for some challenging fitness and sparring.
Since the European Championships I been focusing on my technique with my coach and training with professional boxers 5 days a week which will put me in a better position to reach my aim of bring back gold next year.
For last 2 weeks I have been out in Romania representing England in the European boxing championships. In my first bout I beat a Turkish boxer by giving him 4 standing counts and stopping him in the 3rd round. I then went on to beat the Irish 5x national champion with an unanimous decision. Unfortunately I didn't get the decision in my last bout against Ukraine. England boxing took a team of 23 boxers and we came home with a total of 5 medals. My dedication and performance throughout the competition made me a European Bronze Medalist!

Once again I am extremely proud to say I have been selected to represent England in the EUBC Junior European Boxing Championships in Romania! Over the next month I will be attending England Boxing camps and training hard with my coach. I am grateful for the Go Gold Fund, as it has allowed me to have sports massages over the next few weeks to help with recovery and reducing stiffness.
