What is Chair Based Exercise?

Chair based exercise classes are designed to help improve strength and balance, from the comfort of a chair.

Chair based exercise classes focus on aiding the muscles used in everyday activity and is performed at a pace that suits participants. Chair-based exercise can be done at home or in small groups and is easy to fit in to your daily routine.

Costs

Chair based exercises can be done for free in the comfort of your own home.

Equipment

Ensure that the chair you use is sturdy and stable. Wear comfortable clothes and supportive footwear.
