Workplace Olympics

In 2016, 18 workplaces descended on Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium to celebrate the success of the Rio De Janeiro Olympic Games. The three hour tournament saw track and field events combine with more traditional sports such as handball. Friends and colleagues joined together, with teams of eight all getting the opportunity to have a go at activities they may not have tried before.

The Workplace Olympics is open to businesses/workplaces of any size and type in Leicestershire, Leicester, and Rutland. It is a great opportunity to socialise with your colleagues outside of work, try new sports and have the chance to be crowned the Workplace Olympic Champions.

Our Workplace Olympics will return in the summer of 2019! Keep an eye on the website and sign-up to the Wellbeing@Work newsletter to ensure you don't miss out.

Bespoke Business Games

A bespoke Business Games is a half-day multi-sport event, full of fun and friendly competition that is suitable for your entire workforce (regardless of age or ability). It includes a range of sports and physical activities. Each of these can be tailored to your organisations individual requirements, so you choose the activities, the sports or the health options from our menu of opportunities.

Our highly qualified and experienced staff are able to accommodate all kinds of requests and so please chat to us about incorporating any other needs that you have such as offering team building opportunities, health checks, meeting rooms, hot/cold catering, refreshment stalls, promotional stands, merchandise etc.

In 2015, a bespoke Festive Business Games was organised jointly by the Active Travel Team at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport. The teams competed against each other in Volleyball, Dodgeball and Golf Competitions before battling it out in the individual challenge zone for the individual awards, all whilst in some very festive fancy dress!

Anna MacDonald (Active Travel Development Officer, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council) said:

"It was great to see so many employees representing their workplaces and showing such fantastic team work and enthusiasm."
